HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY PHOTO?
On a non busy day, about 1 day or two. And it also depends on the degree of editing needed for the photo. For a simple classic edit about one day. For photos that have multiple people in it, possibly another day or two. What I offer are free retouched previews for your approval. So it also depends on my client's response time to the approval edits. Restorations can take one to three days, again depending on the degree of damage and client response rate. I will always keep my clients updated.
HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTO?
You will receive a digital file via email. It will be a jpg file and can easily be uploaded to an online printer when ordering prints. You can take advantage of the printing service provided here by katphotomagic.com for easy ordering, saving time and hassle free. Contact KAT for more information or check out the pricing page.
CAN YOU SLIM ME DOWN IN THE FACE AND BODY?
*grin* My dear, that's what I've been doing all my life to myself. Yes!
I will reduce your double chin and nudge in the waist, slim the arms and wherever else you'd like, only just enough so that it's realistic. Most times we don't like the way our bodies look because we didn't pose ourselves correctly. The wrong pose can alter the view of our figures as a whole when in real life we aren't as "large" as we think. So don't you worry, I'll take care of you. *wink*
HOW DOES THE ENTIRE PROCESS WORK?
First step is to contact me via contact form on my website with an uploaded photo or more attached. Please mention what your goals are for the photo and what areas you'd like attention to. I will email you a quote. You have the 50/50 option which is paying 50% upfront (non refundable) and the remainder after I deliver the edited preview. Or pay in full at the beginning using the PayPal payment service.
Depending on current workload and desired edits it will take me about a day or so to complete. I will email a retouched preview edit for you to look over. If further adjustment is needed on what has been done, I will gladly work on it so that it looks excellent for you. If new edits are decided upon then a price adjustment will take place before work commences. I will continue to send previews until fully satisfied. Then final high resolution photo will be emailed. Option for print service is available and print ordering will take place soon after.
WHAT IS THE CLARITY ADD ON?
I offer a unique technique called CLARITY which is going above and beyond by using my mouse and manually redrawing using my human figure drawing skill and other methods to recreate some lost detail. Some areas of the photo, especially the face, need the extra special attention to the fine detail that may be lost. This makes an excellent gift to that special person. Imagine the tears of happiness when they see their loved one once again before their eyes.
MY OLD PRINT IS SMALL LIKE A WALLET, CAN IT BE ENLARGED?
I'm happy you asked! I have worked with small prints the size of a wallet and smaller. These prints were actually just clear enough to work with that I was able to use the CLARITY service, enhance the details, and enlarge the print to a 5x7 beautifully. Please email me the photo so I can have a good look at it's potential.
HOW LONG WILL YOU KEEP THE PHOTO ON HAND?
I will keep the old and new photo for up to one year. If I'm given permission to use photo(s) for advertising and hosting on my website then I will keep retouched photo(s) indefinitely. Please make copies of your new photos just as a precaution.
HOW DO I GIVE YOU MY PHOTO?
Please check out the How-to-scan page for tips.
For digital files, please upload the original jpg file (ex; myphotothatneedsmagic.jpg) using the contact form and it will be sent to me.
WILL YOU BE USING MY PHOTOS FOR CONTESTS OR WHATEVER?
I don't trust photo contests personally. But if I love the new photo I will ask to use it for my website, for bragging on social media such as Instagram, and perhaps other advertising means. I will never use your photo without your consent.
WHAT SHOULD I LOOK OUT FOR IN MY PHOTO BEFORE SENDING IT TO YOU SO IT'S OFF TO A GOOD START?
Focus. Make sure the main subject is in focus and fairly clear and sharp. Be as still as possible when photographing your subject. Lean against something or use a tripod. A focused photo will tremendously help with the magic of the new retouched photo. A blurry photo isn't very attractive in all honesty. but never fear, if that is all you have then I can work my magic on it to help bring back some focus using my CLARITY service.
