What a wonderful event to celebrate and enjoy! Your wedding!
Now after all your expenses have gone to the cake, the caterer, the band, the dresses, flowers etc
And what you may have not thought much of is the photographer.
So you're here because perhaps your photos didn't come out as excellent as you thought they'd naturally be.
And now that the wedding is over, the magic is over and all you're left with are drabby, busy, eyes closed, bad posed, unmagical photos.

I'm sorry you have that to remember your magical day by. Let's not say it's over though.
Because magicians such as myself are able to give that magic touch to bring it back to life.

Read and see how I can recreate a little of that magical feel in your photos!

I was given the honor of photographing my own mother's wedding. I was a new photographer at the time working for the college's newspaper. I was able to borrow a real nice camera. But of course since I didn't know how to use it the photos came out so-so. One year I decided to give my mom a special present by beautifying a wedding photo of her. I didn't have the right photo for this. So I used the shot of her getting ready and really made it a beautiful portrait. She LOVED IT. It's now a framed photo sitting on one of her entry way dressers. She's always bragging about it to her guests.
This couple is dear to us and the bride wanted me to open up her husband's eyes.
She gave me a couple photos of him with his eyes open and smiling. I was able to use one, flip it, and attach it to his body. Interesting huh. I also cleaned up the mess called noise, fixed the lighting, airbrushed the bride a little bit and replaced the background. Everyone loved the new photo.
I had the honor of photographing this couple's wedding. My photography was getting better but I didn't have the pro lens I wanted to create this effect.
So in my software I was able to blur the photo and leave their hands in focus. Of course I enhanced the lighting, colors and a little sunlight too.
Here is another wedding I had the privilege to photograph. This bride is naturally stunning but I think circumstances made her skin appear to have extra stress. So I added some light, some airbrushing and a little glow to her jewelry.

Here's something fun for your photo book or wall! Since you can't get figurines (or can you?) of yourselves on your cake, how about I put you there? ;-) Something different, fun and unique. Why not?

Here's an amusing story. This is my sister's wedding day. I begged her to allow me to photograph her wedding. But she wanted me to walk down the isle in a red dress as her maid of honor. Why did I not want to be her MOH? Because I happened to be extremely overweight at that time. (Blame it on newlywedisms if you will) And I really felt uncomfortable wearing such a dress. So wedding day arrived, and her photographer was late!! I'm furious but thankful I brought my camera "just in case" ha! I was able to photograph my sister getting ready for her big day.

Now I love this shot. Unfortunately I don't have the 'before'. But I'm sure you get the idea. I was still a fairly new photographer. I softened her skin, whitened her eyes and gave it a little glow. She was so beautiful that day! And this new shot totally captures that wedding happy glow.

    About KAT

My philosophy is that photography should lighten up the heart and the eyes with vibrant color, light and majesty as memories flood back into the mind and soul. No cringing allowed. Only magic!
I'm a stay at home mom of our little girl! Photo retouching and restoration have always been my passion since the 1990's. When I'm not retouching I take care of my little girl, my husband, follow God and spend time with His people. All while listening to music all the time. ;-) I also enjoy playing the piano, learning to sew, eat Thai food,  lifting weights, singing hymns and trying to make my house a home.  Read more...
