I'm a God serving, brethren loving, chinesefood-cravin, music listening, pc using, Bolivian branded, photoshopping, piano playing, ketchup using, dimple grinning and wifey to the most wonderful man.

Since Junior High I've edited photos with whatever software that came with my computer. I loved it so much that after 4 majors I decided to go into Digital Imaging in College. Blowing people's minds away with my work I continue to learn new techniques and master the art and skill of digital retouching. I love getting the "Ooh!" reaction from people which tells me that I've accomplished a challenging task. Photoshopping is my thing. And I love it.=)

Now Photography is another hobby I've come to love.
It all started when I joined my college's newspaper crew as a photojournalist. This opened my eyes to new angles and gained confidence in myself. I also worked for the Picture People portrait studio for a whole year and learned so much about portraiture and creative techniques. I enjoyed taking pictures of the silly children that loved the camera. I love capturing that one special expression that makes their parents go..."Ohhh myyy gosh!!".
I typically go for the photojourrnalism form of photography because I can capture my subjects when they are in a special moment in thought, in a laugh, smile, whatever that can tell a story.
Currently I take hundreds of photographs during our Church Fellowship meetings which is every few months. I capture the speakers, families, individual brethren, groups, and of course children. My brethren enjoy seeing the pictures which remind them of the good time they've had at the meeting.

I never thought I'd ever be a wedding photographer until my mother asked me to be hers. I was a photojournalist at the time and borrowed a real nice camera. Pictures turned out pretty good for a novice. Then my sister got married and her photographer was late so I took pictures before and during the reception. The dress up photos still amaze me. She was so beautiful! A sister of the church was getting married again and asked me to do her wedding. "Sure" I had already done 1.5 weddings I think I can do it again. With my own Olympus dslr I was a hardworking photographer. She and everyone loved my photos. My 3rd wedding was of a lady who was sent to me by a friend. It was her 2nd wedding also. Honestly it was a little more stressing to me because we had no relatonship bond prior to the occassion. But it all worked out and she really liked my photography. My comfort with wedding photography has increased. My latest one was in 2009 of two dear brethren. This was their 2nd wedding. I made them a photobook and still she brags about how everyone LOVES the photography. I haven't done a wedding since because I had a baby since then. Now I'm ready for another wedding. I feel even more comfortable and with my new flash I'm invincible. ;-)

I am the photographer who is experienced and depending on your definition of 'professional' I am a professional. But to me I'm just under those high end professionals. I do have my dslr camera, extrenal flash, tripod, a reflector board and my photoshop CS5. I don't have special props nor other lighting equipment or backdrops. I prefer locations to be my backdrops. =) This is a part time job to help with the small family finances. I feel the most comfortable photographing children 5 years and older, high school graduates, couples, 2nd weddings, high end beauty portraiture, small families, and birthday parties. If what you are seeking isn't among this list we can talk about it because I am open to other possibilities to some extent.

I look forward to being your photographer for that special occassion.
